This firm is comprised of three attorneys and is involved in personal injury, elder abuse, wrongful death, and employment cases for plaintiffs. The firm is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, proactive, hard-working Paralegal. Candidate must know how to prepare demand letters, organize medical specials, prepare medical summaries, prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations and trials, draft discovery responses, propound discovery requests, excellent phone skills, excellent research, writing and litigation skills, be efficient, and possess a positive attitude. This Paralegal will be responsible for handling a variety of cases from pre-litigation through trial and should work well both autonomously and in a team environment.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling litigation matters and will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys throughout the litigation and trial process. This is a senior-level position requiring strong organizational, research, and communication skills, along with a proactive mindset and with a deep understanding of civil litigation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation preparation, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and post-trial matters.
- Document Management: Manage, organize, and review case files, exhibits, and discovery materials; ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to case deadlines.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis; prepare summaries of case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation.
- Discovery & E-Discovery: Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and requests for admissions. Oversee e-discovery processes and document production.
- Deposition & Trial Support: Coordinate and prepare exhibits for depositions and trial, assist in trial preparation, including exhibits, trial binders, witness scheduling, and managing trial logistics.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, gather information, and ensure the progress of cases is aligned with client goals.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior paralegals and administrative staff; share best practices and expertise to enhance the overall effectiveness of the litigation team.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.
- Expertise in drafting and responding to discovery, legal documents, and correspondence.
- Proficient in case management software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset is essential.
- Experience with trial preparation and support, including drafting trial exhibits, witness preparation, and coordinating logistics.
- Knowledge of e-discovery tools and processes.
- Familiarity with various legal billing and timekeeping systems.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple deadlines.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Research and Brief Writing Attorney with a minimum of one year of experience to join our team. The Research Attorney will be responsible for conducting comprehensive legal and factual research to support the litigation of plaintiff-side cases. This includes case law analysis, preparing legal memoranda, drafting pleadings and motions, assisting with discovery, and providing legal strategies that support the firm’s objectives in both state and federal court. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of legal principles related to elder abuse, personal injury, class action and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal procedures relevant to the firm’s cases.
- Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, legal briefs, appellate work, summaries, and other research-related documents for use by our legal team.
- Assist in developing litigation strategies and identifying key legal and factual issues in complex cases.
- Provide legal analysis for motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
- Review and analyze fact issues via deposition transcripts, expert reports, and other case-related materials.
- Stay up to date with current legal trends, rulings, and changes to laws.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- At least one year of experience as a research attorney or in a legal research role, preferably in plaintiffs’ litigation or personal injury.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex legal issues and present them clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet court and statutory deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER).
- Familiarity with court rules, procedures, and litigation practice.
